Gold Plated Screw Posts
Goldplated Screw Posts are used to give retention for reconstruction of devitalized, endodonti- cally treated, teeth. The protective gold layer should not be damaged as this can cause the post to corrode.
The root-canal has to be prepared with a reamer of appropriate size and shape, corresponding to the post to be used. A step by step procedure, with incremented sizes of reamers, is recom- mended.
