DESCRIPTION
Canal Root Disinfection Material
The microorganisms and theirs metabolic products are considered the responsible for pulpal and periapical pathologies. Because of this, the complete cleaning of the canal root systems is essential to the endodontic treatment success. The principle active of CLOREXORAL is Chlorhexidine Digluconate. The chlorhexidine was introduced, more than 30 years ago, as a general disinfectant for gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Chlorhexidine when in low concentration (0,12%) is a bacteriostatic agent and in high concentration (2%) become in a fast bactericide agent.
Chlorhexidine act through an electrostatic interaction of its positives and negatives charges in the bacteria??s cellular wall, and braking it, precipitating the cytoplasm and causing the bacteria??s death. It has substantivity and its residual effect is about 48 hours.
It has low toxicity do not harming the periapical tissue.
