DESCRIPTION: 
Prophy-Jet® Prophy Powder is a flavored sodium bicarbonate powder. JET-Fresh® Prophy Powder is a flavored aluminum trihydroxide powder. Both prophy powders are for professional air polishing prophylaxis procedures.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:
For use with all DENTSPLY Cavitron® Prophy-Jet® and Cavitron Jet Systems for cleaning, polishing, and restoring the natural esthetics of tooth enamel. JET-Fresh powder is recommended for patients on a sodium restricted diet.
 
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Patients who have severe respiratory illness should consult their physician before undergoing air polishing prophylaxis procedures. Use is not recommended for patients with known allergies to the components of Cavitron Brand Prophy Powders. Prophy-Jet® Prophy Powder is not recommended for patients on a sodium restricted diet.
 
WARNINGS:
Do not direct the air polishing stream at soft tissue or into the sulcus. Tissue emphysema has been reportedly caused when the air/water/powder stream was directed at the soft tissues or into the sulcus. Do not modify powder with additives. Additives may clog your air polishing system.
 
PRECAUTIONS:
Direct contact of prophy powder with surfaces and marginal areas of dental restorations should be avoided.
 
Adverse Reactions:
Allergic reactions to components of Cavitron Brand Prophy Powders have been known to occur. If an allergic reaction occurs, seek medical attention immediately. Tissue emphysema may occur if the air/water/powder stream was directed at the soft tissue or into the sulcus. If tissue emphysema occurs, consult a health care professional.
 
DIRECTIONS:
Shake well before using. Use per polishing unit manufacturer’s instructions.
